Condenser (machine room) BLDC fan motor error — no feedback signal for more than 65 seconds

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Reset the unit, then enter Test Mode 1. Check whether the condenser fan rotates. If it does, proceed to step 4.

  2. 2

    If the fan does not rotate, manually spin the fan blade. If it feels sticky or binds, replace the condenser fan motor.

  3. 3

    Check fan motor supply voltage at CON4 Pin 24 ~ Pin 23 in Test Mode 1. Should be 11.4–12.6 V. If absent, replace Main PCB.

  4. 4

    Check feedback voltage at CON4 Pin 22 ~ Pin 23. If it reads 0 V or 5 V (invalid feedback), replace the motor.

  5. 5

    Check PWM signal at CON4 Pin 21 ~ Pin 23. If it reads 0 V or 5 V (invalid PWM), replace Main PCB.

  6. 6

    If all voltages are correct and fan rotates freely, explain to customer.
